Why Workshops? 

These workshops are for women who want to go deeper with their practice of yoga as it interfaces with motherhood.  Each workshop will be an opportunity to practice in a community of fellow mothers and mothers-to-be, to deepen in yoga practice and to clarify intentions and aspirations for growth.  There will be time for discussion and journaling/reflection in order to best integrate each workshop’s key themes. 


Each workshop offers the opportunity to practice the art of synchronizing bodily movement with the breath, work with principles of alignment, and practice moving in the world with grace, integrity, clarity, and openness. 

Saturday March 12th, 2-4pm:  Giving Yourself Rest: Yoga Practices for Motherhood


A workshop shedding light on the practice and importance of self-care during pregnancy, early motherhood and beyond.  Join other mamas and mamas to be in a restorative yoga practice emphasizing postures that stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and promote relaxation and full-body rest.  You will take away simple asana and pranayama practices for self-care that can be easily integrated into busy days. Saturday April 9th, 2-4pm:  Finding Balance:  Yoga Practices for Motherhood


A workshop and yoga practice exploring balancing postures as a mirror for how we relate to moments of multi-tasking and challenge.  Join other mamas and mamas to be in delving into an exploration into what we can do to practice living from our most grounded, centered place, particularly attending to the challenges of mothering.


Saturday May 14th, 2-4pm:  Surrendering to What Is:  Yoga Practices for Motherhood


A workshop and yoga practice exploring forward bends as a gesture of surrender into the present moment.  Join other mamas and mamas to be in exploring the practice of mindfulness and bodily surrender as we encounter our edges and perceived limitations, both physically as well as emotionally.


Saturday June 11th, 2-4pm:  Cultivating Intentions:  Yoga Practices for Motherhood


A yoga practice and workshop focusing on the art of embodying our intentions through presence and action.  We will hold the central question “Where do we want to grow in our motherhood journey?”  Join other mamas and mamas to be to explore yoga as a tool for practicing the embodiment of our deepest intentions.
